After his brother Ala al-Dawla Bozkurt rose to power, Shah Budak took refuge in the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II 's court. In 1489, he tried to ascend back to the Dulkadirid throne for a third time with the support of Ottoman troops. However, he was captured and sent to exile in Cairo . [2]
