Reactionary feminism
Feminism that embraces reactionary politics
None
Reactionary feminism is a form of feminism that embraces reactionary politics. [1] The term was popularized by the author Mary Harrington in her book Feminism Against Progress . [2]
Reactionary feminism centres on biological essentialism – the belief that the physiological differences between men and women make them fundamentally different. Reactionary feminist beliefs include opposition to abortion , the belief that the sexual revolution was a mistake, and opposition to the concept of transgender identity. Reactionary feminism is sometimes allied to conservative religious beliefs such as Catholicism .
