Arcene ( Bergamasque : Àrsen ) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy , located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of Milan and about 14 kilometres (9 mi) southwest of Bergamo . As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,529 and an area of 4.2 square kilometres (1.6 sq mi) . [3]
Arcene borders the following municipalities: Castel Rozzone , Ciserano , Lurano , Pognano , Pontirolo Nuovo , Treviglio , Verdello .
