The 1934 Tulane Green Wave football team represented Tulane University as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) during the 1934 college football season . Led by third-year head coach Ted Cox , the Green Wave played their home games at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans .
The Green Wave finished the regular season at 9–1 and were 8–0 in conference play, sharing the SEC title with Alabama . [1] Tulane was invited to the first Sugar Bowl , at their home stadium, where they beat previously undefeated Temple 20–14 on New Year's Day to finish at 10–1.
